What is the basic procedure to get admission in India?
You must possess Senior Secondary / GCE `A' level / any other examination equivalent to 12 years of schooling in India, with sufficient knowledge of English, for admission to undergraduate programs. However for entry into Diploma programs, the qualification required is 10 years of schooling. |

Do I need to give GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS or any other test?
No. Indian Universities do not insist for the above scores. However, since the academic programs are taught in English, proficiency in English is a must. You should have studied for qualifying examination in English or English should have been one of the subjects. |

The academic year in India usually starts in the month of July. However, some institutions have the academic year beginning in August/September. |

What is the procedure involved in coming to India for higher education?
For coming to India for higher education, you would require a student Visa. You need to produce confirmed letter of admission from University/Institution in India for obtaining the student visa. JUBILEE EDUCATION will assist you for your entire queries related visa. |

What is study visa and how can you apply?
Student visa comes into the category of visa for the students those wanted to come to India for education purpose. Student Visas are issued for the duration of the academic course of study or for a period of five years whichever is less, on the basis of letters of admission from Universities/recognized colleges or educational institutions in India.
For application of the student visas first you have to see that if you come in to the eligibility. You need to confirm that if you come under the scholarship, if so then the respective organizations would be advised by ICCR to issue a regular student visa after the admission in an Indian University is confirmed.
Whereas if you are coming as self-financing student you need to have confirm letter of admissions from respective universities/recognized colleges and institutions in India for obtaining the regular student Visa. |

What is the process of getting the study visa even if we don’t have confirmation letter of admission?
Students not having confirmed letter of admission from universities or institutions can obtained Provisional student visa by the Indian missions abroad, on the basis of provisional letters of admissions.
This visa is valid for only for 3 months. Within this respective period admission need to be confirmed for the respective university or college otherwise student will have to leave India. There is no further extension for the provisional visa. |

Is there is any provision of changing the college or university after coming to India?
No certainly you cannot do that. While applying the visa you have to mention the name of the institute or university which later mentioned on the visa. A request for the change of university or the institute cannot be made subsequently and will not be considered. In this case you would be required to go back to your home country and apply for the fresh visa. |

Can we get our tourist visa converted into student Visa?
The purpose of visit of international students to India cannot be change and is not allowed once they arrive in India. Therefore, if any student coming to India on tourist or any type of visa, you cannot further change the status of the visa into study type or student visa.
The Indian Laws states that if any international student is in India for any purpose except than student visa can obtain study visa only if he goes back to his home country and applies for new visa from the respective embassy of India.
To avoid such situation we advice that all self financing students to obtains regular or provisional student visa from Indian missions abroad by producing confirmed or provisional letters of admission from the Universities or an institution. |

Are there any rules and regulations which I have to keep in mind before I apply the visa?
There are certain points you have to keep in mind before you apply visa to India. You need to have a valid passport for a minimum of 6 months validity beyond the date of intended departure from India should accompany your visa application.
Students holding other nationalities (other than the country where applying for visa), should submit proof of long-term (at least three years)/ permanent residence in the country (where applying). For citizen of other countries, a reference has to be made to their country of residence for which an additional fee is applicable and will involve extra processing time. Please refrain from making inquiries about the status of application during this time. |

What is the visa cost for study Visa?
Jubilee education organizes the admissions of international students and sends them offer letter along with the provisional admission letter received from the universities or from the institutes. The students have to submit these letters to the Indian embassy in their respective countries.
If requires Jubilee educations then will follow up for the visa assurance. In addition to that Jubilee will also help in extension of the visas for the students those who have been already studying in India, by following up with the Foreigners Regional Office (FRRO)/ respective ministries etc.
The visa fee for any type of study visa is non- refundable. The visa Fees depends upon the nationality of the passport holder and type / duration of Visa applied. These fees are payable in the local currency only. The fee also varies from country to country. A minimum amount of 300 USD is to be paid in the respective embassies. |
